The Night Prince

He sits atop the wall
Of a forsaken palace
Vuln’rable to archers
And wickedness and malice
In a dream he once dreamed
Abandoned by his princess
‘Til the sun slipped below
To give the day his recess

When the night fin’lly came
Those who looked upon his face
Had his heart turned to stone
And blood muddied in his veins
Through this dream he once dreamed
He could escape his princess
Vuln’rable to the life
Who’d only been his mistress

At night he lay in bed
Entwined inside her tussles
Pleased with her rare savour
And the curves of her muscles
In a dream he once dream
Relinquished of his princess
‘Til the ablative moon
Gave the night his recess.
