A heavy chest sighs
Expelling crystalline dreams
Lost in opened eyes
Lithe tributaries
Carrying the summer’s rain
Pool to settled calm
Marbled mountains peek
Their tired, dark eyes protrude
Beneath melting snow
Where I sit on river’s edge
Bathing in the winter swell
My tepid toe tastes
What shall be the year’s first wine
Gleaned from glutted fields
Beneath marbled mountain peaks
Where these hazel eyes arouse
The butterfly breeze
Distills breath to the moment
Of contemplation
Rusting leaves collect
In the molding, blind corners
Of an empty home
Dressed in the day’s disaster
Witnessed by these hollow bones
Morning passes East
Over turbines and mountains
Brushed in nephrite jade
I inhale the droll passing
Of heavy burdened nimbus
